My friend is fifteen years old. He is shorter than most boys. And has extremely poofy, large, hair. It is very coarse.
He is willing to cut it finally, and I'm suppose to give him ideas.
He is a little afraid of getting it all off, so if there is a decent amount of hair left on his head, he would still be up for it.

He doesnt need to cut it if he doesn't want to. He just needs to learn how to take care of it. I have a very similar type of hair and know guys with the same hair. At first when my hair started to get that way I didnt know what to do with it. He should trim it down to no longer than 2. 5 inches maybe and use some good moisturizing gel or some really good high quality leave in conditioner
