Changing hair styles.?

In the recent years, lots of guys are getting those emo/scene haircuts.. where it loosk kind of chopped-ish. and its straight. Did the generation just develop this sort of hair?

My hair isnt like that, it doesnt grow straight, and its oily. it grows out. but looks ugly its the kind that only looks nice when buzzed, or in a fauxhawk. But i want to get it like the scene/emo cut. What do i have to do? Straighten my hair? Is there a Perm-like thing I can get done to it?Changing hair styles.?
You need a layered cut.

In old-fashioned times, we went to the barber and told them to cut it/shave it and that was all, but these days we have more advanced stylists.

What you're describing is a layered cut called 'choppy layers'.

In layered cuts, the hair generally isn't cut symmetrically and is cut into different layers.

Essentially, it is cut into a style.

The emo look is generally choppy layers with a long side bang (The hair sweep across one eye style).

Layered cuts enable the hair to be straight like this, but many people also straighten it.

You can get it chemically straightened if you want, it costs under $100 and lasts a very long time.

To get an emo/scene haircut, just go to a hairdresser (No barbers, friends, or relatives), and ask for a layered cut and maybe to look in a book of layered styles if you want to pick a design that way, otherwhise just tell them you want the emo-look choppy layers and side bang.
