Hippy Hair styles?

I'm in a local theatre production of the hippy broadway hit, Hair. I know all about the style of the show and all that, but I have pretty short hair and don't have many ideas of how to style it for the show. It's naturally wavy, and very full, so I'll have to blow dry or straighten it, otherwise it gets too poofy, but I'm not sure if I should just let it be, or not. You probably shouldn't straighten it, that's like the opposite of hippy. They were very natural, with long wavy hair usually parted in the center. If you want more variety, just watch some movies like ';Steal this movie'; and ';Hair'; if you haven't seen it. Then you'll be able to choose one that suits you.
