forget the pictures....just go to your hairstylist %26amp; say LAYERS! Layers rock %26amp; it's in style today.
Here are some great photo's.
Flat Twists/Twist Out
1) Wash and a condition your hair
2) Apply a light oil (or moisturizer of choice) to your hair and scalp (lightly)
3) Section your hair as though you were going to start cornrows, and begin to flat twist your hair going straight back
4) Twirl the end of the flat twist and secure it with a bobby pin or other hair pin or clips (silver two prong clips work great if
you just want the twist out look)
5) proceed with your entire head until you have flat twists all over.
6) at this point, if you have secured the flat twists well enough, you can wear them to go, which is one style, another is sitting
under the dryer (or air drying) until the hair is COMPLETELY dry and then taking the twists out and wearing a LOVELY twist out!
Great natural look for a transitioning sister! Plus, you can do the same with cornrows. The difference is,
with cornrows, the outcome is more crinkled, and with flat twists, the result is more wavy. Both are nice.

OR......
Comb Coils
Step 1: Wash hair and follow with a leave-in conditioner
Step 2: Comb out hair using a wide tooth shampoo brush
Step 3: Part out sections using the rat-tail end of the coil comb
Step 4: Apply gel to the section of wet hair and begin twisting with the double teeth side of the comb for tight coils (fig 1 below) or with twist around the rat tail for barrel coils (fig 2 below)
Step 5: Leave style to dry naturally or place client under a hood type dryer
