African amer. caucasian HELP me figure out hair styles! straighten then curl? want wavy !little damage heat?

(HOW DO I GET IT STRAIGHT AND THEN CURL IT WITHOUT MUCH DAMAGE?) or make natural pretty waves in natural or straightened hair?





I'm African and Caucasian. my hair is medium/course, shoulder length, frizzy, bushy. each hair is thin but when i brush it all it almost forms an afro.

I've NEVER been able to style it. Hair salons, no good, I guess I can't find a good one.





I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE 3 STYLES : STRAIGHTENED (WITHOUT LOOKING SO LIMP AND BORING JUST HANGING THERE)


AND


WAVY/CURLY (MAYBE USING ROLLERS? ETC) SO I CAN WEAR IT DOWN AND NATURAL. ? OVERNIGHT CURLERS?





OR EITHER STRAIGHTENED AND THEN CURLED SOMEHOW?





I DON'T LIKE USING HEAT MUCH. BUT I WILL IF NEED TO.

Maybe the link below will help you. Beware of using heat. I used heat almost every day for several years and my hair became very damaged and broke off because of it. I switched to a new hair dresser and she took one look at my hair and asked if I had been hot curling because it was so damaged from heat. She also refused to hot curl my hair because of it. Heat causes more damage than it's worth - even if its for a pretty hairstyle.

Well I'm mixed too, I use wear my afro with pride. But now I cut my hair real short.

also try doing more sections of separated hair if ur hairs longer..


and use diff kinds of round brushes











and after to curl it just basically use a curling iron after applying tresemmes thermal creation heat tamer.


it helps curls stay aswell as protection from damage of heat.
