I wouldnt do anything too long and straight or you'll just exaggerate the length of your face. Most hairstyles so look good on oval faces though.

I think that you should try bangs. Maybe layer your hair around your face to sort of frame it a little bit. If you have a short forehead though, don't do the bangs, just stick with the layers. If you search on www.seventeen.com, they should have a section on the best way to wear your hair for certain face shapes. You'll have to search it in the archives though; I'm not sure exactly where it is.
